Like @JohnnyRow mentioned, if your hands were holding the shopping cart, since they were still, some of your steps were not actually tracked, and this is because wrist Fitbit trackers record some of your steps based on the movement of your arms, so when you are carrying things, for example, some of them won’t be recognized either.
